At Day’s Table by Design, food is more than just a meal—it’s a way of life. Founded by Kaleo and Melissa Day, their story is rooted in a shared love of food, family, and unforgettable flavor.

 

Kaleo brings the spirit of aloha to every dish, having spent most of his life in Hawaii before settling in the Pacific Northwest. A proud United States Marine with over 20 years of cooking experience, he blends island traditions with bold, soulful flavors that feel like home.

 

Melissa, raised just up the road in Ferndale, grew up immersed in the world of baking. For decades, she’s helped grow her family’s beloved local bakery. With a degree in Viticulture, Enology, and Nonprofit Management from Western Washington University, she brings both creativity and expertise to the table—balancing flavors, managing experiences, and pouring heart into every detail.

 

Together, they are raising six beautiful children and building a life centered on service, hospitality, and the joy of feeding people. Whether it's a family feast or a fine dining experience, their passion is simple: bring people together through good food, crafted with care.
